Instrument exploration camps, jazz improv camp, and rock and roll camp -- We offer a number of ways for your kids to experience music this summer! Summer is a time of new and exciting experiences. Why not have your child “put their toe in the water” by trying out a band instrument? Tests have proven that enrollment in the school music program will increase your child’s proficiency in mathematics, listening, teamwork and many other valuable skills. Our summer camps are based in Tacoma and welcome youth from all parts of the South Sound!

Instrument Exploration Camp 2026

Jazz Improv Camp 2026

REGISTRATION BEGINS IN JANUARY 2026
Development and understanding of chords and scales, ear training. How to work through chord progressions and develop solos. Learning how to work through the standard jazz song.

Live It OutLoud

Live It OutLoud is an 8-week summer music program for 12 to 18 year old's produced by Ted Brown Music Outreach and sponsored by Ted Brown Music. Each student is evaluated and placed with other musicians, forming a band with a professional mentor to create, develop, and perform at a professional level.
